Senior Program Officer, The Asia Foundation
Amanda is an international development professional, documentary photographer and filmmaker whose work supports leadership development, climate action, women’s rights and social enterprise across Asia. Her Peace Corps service in Nepal ingrained her belief that effective change starts with listening to and empowering individuals to create the change they want to see within their communities.
Amanda currently works as a Senior Program Officer for the Leadership & Exchange Programs (LeadEx) of the Asia Foundation, a team dedicated to advancing the Asia's emerging leaders and changemakers through specialized trainings, tailored study tours and international exposure. Programming has increasingly focused on advancing participants' social impact, often through the development of social entrepreneurship. In addition to her duties at TAF, she actively provides peer reviews for papers submitted to “Case Studies in the Environment”, a publication under the University of California Press, judges entries to the Big Idea Contest, and pursues independent documentary photography and film projects.
